The House of Overseers are individuals who are appointed to serve in managerial and/ or jurisdictional areas of management and responsibility to aid the Fellowship in its continuing development and growth. The term “Overseer” is usually precluded with “Administrative”, “General”, Regional, and or “District”.
Administrative and General Overseers are appointed to work on the International Level in a managerial capacity by the International Presiding Bishop and/or the Cabinet of Bishops. Installations and Appointments are held at the decision of the International Presiding Bishop. Administrative Overseers are non-clergy leaders having a specific area of expertise that enhances the progression of the Fellowship. General, State, and District Overseers are Ordained member of the Clergy.
Regional and State Overseers are appointed and installed at a Regional/State Diocesan level of responsibility and serve the people of the Fellowship on a more Regional/State personal level and to ensure that the international program is developed and duplicated on the Regional/State level. Regional/State Overseers, as they are appointed, are to serve in a period of two (2) years before being considered for possible elevation to the Office of Bishop.
District Overseers are appointed by State Bishops to work with the jurisdictional levels to implement the international vision and program on a District level. District Overseers must complete training session conducted by the Office of the Bishop of Senior Pastors and Overseers and a six (6) probationary period before being duly appointed in the position of Overseer.
Regional and State Overseers are installed for service. They are not consecrated to perform their duties but must be properly trained by the Office of the Bishop of Regional/State Bishops/Overseers. Regional/State/District Overseers must be trained and certified by the Office of the Bishop of State Bishops or the Office of the Bishop of Senior Pastors and Overseers.
After training is completed, the Regional Bishop’s office receives certificate of completion and other credentials in preparation for actual installation. District Overseers, as they are appointed, must serve four (4) years in the capacity as a District Overseer before being considered for possible elevation to the Office of Bishop.
It is from the Episcopal rank and service of the Overseer that the Bishop are supposed to be selected as they are in a servitude capacity to be observed, trained, and developed for elevation to the Bishopric, if deemed necessary and approved by the International Presiding Bishop ratified by the Cabinet of Bishops.
